Feet-elevated push-ups
Chest (upper part), front deltoids and triceps; core.

How to do it
- Put your feet on a bench, a stable chair or a step and your hands on the floor, a little wider than your shoulders.
- Set your body in a straight line from head to heels, abs and glutes tight.
- Lower by bending your elbows until your chest almost touches the floor.
- Push the floor away until your arms are straight.
Cues
- Elbows about 45 degrees from your body, not flared out in a T.
- Body as one block: hips neither sag nor pike up.
- Lower under control.
Common mistakes
- Sagging hips and an arched lower back.
- Half range.
- Poking your head forward to "reach" the floor sooner.
It's the natural progression once regular push-ups get easy. The higher your feet, the more your shoulders work.
