Jump rope
Heart and lungs; calves, shoulders and coordination.

How to do it
- Adjust the rope: standing on its middle, the handles reach your armpits.
- Elbows close to your body and hands at hip height.
- Turn the rope with your wrists and take small jumps, just enough for it to pass.
- Land softly on the balls of your feet for the length of the set.
Cues
- Low, quick jumps.
- The wrists turn, not the arms.
- Knees slightly bent on landing.
Common mistakes
- Jumping too high.
- Letting your arms drift out as you tire.
- Landing on your heels or with stiff legs.
If you trip, keep going: pick it back up and complete the time. With no rope, do the same jump imagining you have one.
